With its modern roots in Japan and its ancient ones reputedly in Tibet thousands of years ago, Reiki is used to rebalance and harmonise energy so that the human (or indeed, animal) body can heal itself and function in an optimal manner – physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.
During a Reiki treatment, universal life force energy is channelled into the receiver via the hands of the Reiki practitioner. A Reiki treatment can be hands-on, hands-off or a mix of the two.
Reiki helps most situations where healing is needed and especially in the following:
A first treatment usually lasts between one and half and two hours with follow-up treatments of around an hour.
The client remains clothed throughout as the practitioner places their hands on or slightly above the body in a series of non-intrusive positions, leaving them there for a few minutes.
The client usually lies on a massage table. Reiki treatments in a seated position are also possible. The most important thing is that the client is as comfortable as possible.
I can give treatments in French and English.
